“In light of COVID-19, Yoga Alliance is making a temporary provision to allow its schools to offer contact hours in any of the five Educational Categories in a virtual format during currently-active teacher trainings.”
FAQ:
Q: How much time does it take?
A: Approximately 30 days intensively, and students can apply for an extension if needed, to complete their assignments to qualify for the Yoga Alliance certification
Q: Do I need to have tech skills?
A: No, we use simple yet top industry programs like Teachable and Zoom. Facebook LIVES are also used.
Q: Can I join in my timezone?
A: Yes! We have live broadcasts but if the time doesn’t work, you can watch the replay.
Q: What if I am not able to come to Portugal, Bali or India for your 200hr?
A: For a limited time, it’s not required. You can obtain your full 200hr certificate from home!
Q: Is this course less advanced or less in-depth than your normal course?
A: No, it’s the same course – just virtual.
Q: Is this training approved by Yoga Alliance?

Yoga Alliance has always specified that “contact hours” be in-person, as opposed to online or distance learning for the RYT 200 designation. This stipulation has been temporarily lifted by Yoga Alliance, as in-person trainings now pose a risk to our health and safety due to COVID-19.
